Uncle Rich's Favorite Trick by Chris Brown

Welcome back to theClassroom! I hope you enjoyed your winter break. Back in late March my Uncle Rich passed away. Even though we knew it was coming, nothing could prepare me for that day. During one of my last visits to see him I showed him an effect I had been working on for the past year or so. He loved it. It was an awesome moment that I'd like to cement in stone forever. So I figured what better way to do it than to make it the Season 3 opener of theClassroom. The effect itself is my go to effect these days. I have fine tuned it for optimal astonishment. In this effect the spectator selects a card, the card remains sticking out of the deck, they square it in themselves and place their hand on top of the deck. From there I place my hand on top of theirs and they see, hear, and feel the card appear on top of their hand. The work behind this is more thought out than it looks. By using these 3 senses all at the same time it makes the wow factor something beyond a normal effect with a deck of cards. It's pure sleight of hand with subtleties along the way that make this as simple as it sounds. If you're into long effects with a story and a stacked deck then this isn't the effect for you. This is a hard hitting effect with a minimalist approach that delivers a deep impact every time. In film you never truly die, Judy Garland will always be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. This is my attempt to make my Uncle immortal. Welcome to Uncle Rich's Favorite trick
